Their retail storefront is 35,000 sq.ft., and the property includes a 180,000 sq.ft. lumberyard and warehouse. Bay Street Castle Building Centre, a 23,000 sq.ft. retail storefront with 9,000 sq.ft. warehouse space is located in Victoria, BC. It was acquired by Frank and Vicki Hagel, owners of the nearby Cook Street Castle Building Centre. “We think we have a good business model and the store’s vibe offers a positive shopping experience. Our Cook Street store adopted the Castle name in 2009. That has proven to be a pivotal decision, as we believe this to be the brand of the future for the independent building supply store in Canada!”
Kindersley Castle Building Center in Kindersley, SK is a new start-up on a 5.2 acre lot with a 12,500 sq.ft. retail storefront, warehouse and lumberyard. The management team, which comes to Castle with extensive home improvement experience and knowledge, is passionate about the industry. "Our personalized approach will provide the Kindersley community and the industry hub with unsurpassed customer experience and a viable home improvement and hardware alternative. Since 1975, Alf Curtis Home Improvements has been well-known in the Kawarthas for servicing local contractors, DIYers and cottage-country-bound shoppers with all their lumber, building materials and hardware needs.Today, contractors and consumers can also order product online for pick-up in-store or for delivery. “Alf Curtis's third location allows us to bring to Belleville and Quinte West the excellent product selection and customer service that Alf Curtis is known for. The lumber and building materials yard will have 14,000 sq.ft. of warehouse space.”
Gander Bay Building Supplies, a 6,000 square foot retail area plus a sizeable warehouse and lumberyard, has been in business in Victoria Cove for almost 30 years. Stoney Point Hardware has been part of the the local community since 1949. Founder Rob Duquette decided that the small lakeside town in Southwestern Ontario needed a dedicated hardware store. “We wanted to be part of a banner that had an extensive and flexible hardware offering and one that gives us the independence to sell the products that are right for our customer and the Stoney Point market.”

The Chapman family owners of Napanee Brick & Tile Works, began their journey in 1912 on Rover Road in Napanee with the manufacture of brick and clay drain tile and selling and distributing heavy goods/hardware. In 2000, they purchased Kimmerly Lumber where they now serve the community as a Castle Building Centre. Robert and David Chapman, along with family members Matt, Rick, Sue, Jenn and James look forward to their transition and providing an extensive hardware line at competitive prices.

Robert Boyer has grown the company into a full-service lumber, building materials and hardware retailer with 6,000 sq' store, 12,000 sq' warehouse, and 25,000 sq' lumberyard. “What attracted me to Castle was the freedom given to their members by the group, their incredible buying power, and the value. The Lachute location is extensive, and includes a 10,000 sq ft area of retail with over 30,000 sq ft warehouse capacity attached to the retail space.
T J’s Windows Doors is a specialty operation that has provided the supply & installation of exterior products to the Charlottetown market since 2008. With the purchase of a new building in East Royalty and membership in Castle Building Centres owner Tim McHatten, feels they now have a competitive costing model to help facilitate their expansion, while giving them access to a wider range of exterior products from Castle’s supplier base.
Richard Browne, owner of Alberta Drywall Stucco & Supply (Calgary) Inc., operates two 14,000 square foot facilities – Edmonton (2007) and Calgary (2010). Alberta Drywall Stucco & Supply (Calgary) Inc. specializes in the supply of drywall, stucco and related products to both contractors and the commercial/industrial segment. These are two additional locations to the current Alberta Drywall member of Castle.
Saddle Lake Building Supplies is involved in the construction of new homes & RTM’s and is now opening a new retail hardware/building supplies business on 5 acres in Saddle Lake. Plans are also underway for an additional cabinet manufacturing facility. Saddle Lake Building Supplies supports a trading area of approximately 7,500 residents.
Integrity Building Supplies is well known in the Western Canadian building industry for providing lumber and building materials to contractors in the post frame building market. As the newest Castle Building Centre location; Integrity’s five acre yard and 28,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Okotoks features a newly expanded product offering and expert staff.
Red River Lumber is a newly founded and rapidly growing building supply company located in Winnipeg, MB. and is pleased to be part of a solid buying group for the independent. Recently appointed GM; Morris Werbeniuk is looking forward to working with the Castle team and taking advantage of working with Castle’s extensive supplier network.
Diversified Supply & Rentals is a division of the family-owned Normore business enterprise started in 1968 in L’Anse au Loup, NL. Today this new Castle Building Centres location will work with the Castle supplier network to serve the Labrador Straits, Quebec North Shore, and surrounding areas with lumber, building material and hardware products.
